This is what the most expensive house in Canada looks like
The most expensive house in Canada comes in at $59 million and even has its own name — Chelster Hall.
The sprawling Oakville country mansion is equipped with six bedrooms, 13 bathrooms, and 30 parking spaces — enough for your entire extended family to visit during the next reunion.
The luxurious home is located on Lake Ontario, so you can gaze out over the serene waters while you sip your morning coffee on the charming brick veranda.
The English-inspired manor boasts a grand foyer, with a gorgeous wooden spiral staircase and a two-storey library that will make you feel like you're living in a Jane Austen movie.
Upstairs, five opulent bedrooms with private ensuite bathrooms and spacious closets await you.
Each of the bedrooms has a different feel to it, ranging from a suite with Versailles gilded wallpaper and canopied bed to a room with a handpainted baby blue horse mural.
The bathrooms include marble countertops, plush pink velvet chairs, and slim columns.
On the main floor, the dining hall is equipped with a 16-seater table, a chandelier, and a beautiful moulded fireplace.
The room could also concievably double as a ballroom, should you require it.
Downstairs, you can enjoy a glass of expensive whisky while presumably watching an unreleased Hollywood film, all in the comfort of your private cinema.
Oh, and in your comfy leather seats, of course.
Entertaining guests? Chelster Hall has two Tuscan influenced wine cellars, conveniently located next to an entertainment space where you can serve your guests fine wine and cheese.
There's also a main floor billiards room, if you want to switch things up.
Chelster Hall also boasts wine cellars, tennis courts, indoor and outdoor pools, a bowling lane, a private chapel, underground parking, and enough space to land a helicopter — just in case your celebrity friends pop by unexpectedly.
Not that you'll be greeting them, of course — there's a housekeeper's residence located conveniently nearby the landing pad.
The mansion was initially priced at $65 million in 2016, but has dropped by $7 million over the years.
It might be going too far to call Chelster Hall a "steal," but hey — at least whoever buys it can say they got Canada's most expensive home on sale.
