But even in crazy real estate markets like Toronto and Vancouver it's hard not to find a gorgeous home for $4 million.Whether you want a grand historic manor or a modern mansion $4 million is like the Goldilock amount for a stunning mini-mansion.  

So here's what a $4 million home looks like in cities across Canada.  

Vancouver

Calgary

Toronto

For $4 million you can get waterfront property in Toronto. This four bedroom home is located in Etobicoke and has a clear shot at Lake Ontario. But if lakes aren't your thing there's always the salt water pool.  The home also has a sauna, steam bath, home theatre and gym. 

Ottawa

Right in Old Village will be this new build home that's not even complete. The home will be built by the award-winning Neoteric Developments in 2020, so you get a chance to customize your dream home! The home will have at least four bedrooms and four bathrooms, as well as an oversized double attached garage.

Winnipeg

Winnipeg doesn't really have any homes at the $4 million price point, but this home is exquisite and is listed at $3.5 million. The newly built home has five bedrooms, five bathrooms, an outdoor pool and hot tub. The most striking thing about this home though is the gold tile shower.

Montreal

For just a little over $4 million you could have this gorgeously renovated character home in Ville-Marie. The home has five bedrooms and three bathrooms. There's also a wine cellar in the basement but the major appeal is the backyard. It's stunning! And there's what appears to be a moat.
