Someone is setting fire to toilet paper at Walmart stores in Canada
Police are investigating three fires set at various Walmart locations in Kitchener and Waterloo last night, all of which used a surprising method of kindling: toilet paper.
Officers say that the blazes took place at two Kitchener locations and one Waterloo location.
All of the fires were reported between 9:15 p.m. and 10:20 p.m. on Tuesday evening.
Someone (or a group) set fire to the Toilet paper at a Kitchener Walmart last night. Some reports say they hit several Walmart locations and went right for the TP, but that has not been confirmed. Thankfully, nobody was hurt in any of the fires, although police estimate that the damage will cost around $4 million — and that's for each location.
Waterloo Fire rescue platoon chief Ken Lumgair says there was smoke damage to products in the stores, which means that each Walmart location may have to chuck some of their stock.
Police confirmed in a tweet on Wednesday morning that they're investigating the fires as arson.

The whole incident is particularly unfortunate considering that there's already a paper product shortage in Canada; let's hope that Walmart has more toilet paper in stock somewhere.
