Man goes on racist tirade at liquor store in Edmonton
A man's racist, anti-immigrant tirade at an Edmonton liquor store on Sunday was caught on camera, prompting a widespread backlash against the man on social media.
In the now-deleted Facebook video, an older white man not wearing a face mask is seen berating a Sikh man and an Asian man wearing masks at Olympia Liquor, who impressively retain their composure throughout the incident.
The older man curses multiple times, making various racist remarks about how immigrants refuse to "come to this country and be like everyone else," as well as attacking the long beard of one of the men, who is Sikh.
"Canadians are the nicest people in the world, and your belief system is not better than our lives," he shouts in the video. "You got that, buddy?"

The older man also makes an upsetting and xenophobic comment about "how good" Canada was until "you people" moved here.
Navdeep Singh, a store supervisor in the video, told Postmedia that employees declined to call the police.
Face masks are mandatory in most public buildings in Edmonton as of last Saturday. Singh said the incident started with the man taking offence to the store employees wearing masks and escalated into the racist tirade.
