Porn website offers to give B.C. government $100k to build glory holes
Remember when B.C. healthcare officials recommended using glory holes on Wednesday to prevent the spread of COVID-19? Well, a porn website has an offer for the government — and you have to read it to believe it.
YouPorn, a popular porn website registered in Luxembourg but primarily operating from Canada, reached out to Health Minister Adrian Dix with a once-in-a-lifetime offer.
"We applaud the BC Centre for Disease Control's guide for its recommendation of the use of glory holes during intercourse to limit face-to-face contact during sex," the letter says.
"To help provide people with a safe option for engaging in sexual activity, we would like to offer the province of British Columbia a grant of $100K to support the building of glory holes across the province."
Now this is how you do timely, rapid response PR:

"Today at YouPorn, we sent a letter to Honorable Adrian Dix, Minister of Health of British Columbia, for a $100K grant to support the building of glory holes across the province, further promoting 'socially distant' safe sex." pic.twitter.com/YrpbFhVKCy
The letter finishes cheekily, "Hope to see you on the other side!"
Although the Health Minister has yet to respond to the hilarious letter, dozens of Canadians have weighed in on what is presumably a well-orchestrated PR stunt.
"Well, YouPorn has won the internet today," a Vancouver resident wrote.
"This is the best thing I've seen all day," a Victoria resident wrote.
"Never ever thought I'd see this," an Alberta resident wrote. "2020 continues to surprise."
