Canada Post says it finally has a plan to get through the delivery backlog

There's a reason why your mail has been taking so long to arrive lately. Canada Post has been experiencing a bottleneck of packages, causing lengthy delays for customers across the country.

But don't despair, because it looks like things are about to begin getting better at last. According to the union that represents Canadian postal workers, measures to help ease the backlog have finally started working.

The strategies that have been implemented include hiring temporary workers, reopening brick and mortar shops and authorizing overtime hours for full-time workers.

In a statement made to The Canadian Press on Thursday, Nancy Beauchamp of the Canadian Union of Postal Workers said that the situation has improved "a lot," over the last few days.

Furthermore, Beauchamp also revealed that the organization expects everything to be back on track within the next two weeks.
