Photo of rainbow perfectly hitting a ferry boat in Canada goes viral

A leprechaun should be so lucky to travel on a ferry boat in Canada captured by photographer Emmett Sparling that's since gone viral.

The image taken on Friday shows a Bowen Island passenger ferry in British Columbia perfectly aligned with the rainbow as it hits the water.

"Yesterday the sun decided to poke through the clouds over Bowen island," Sparling wrote on Instagram.

"For a brief few minutes, it was sunny and rainy at the same time... which means there’s going to be a rainbow... I didn’t have my camera unfortunately as I ran down to the dock and took this shot on my iPhone."

"Bowen’s little ferry lined up perfectly with the rainbow to create this surreal moment."

That evening proved colourful in parts of Vancouver after cloud and rain gave way to sun and clear skies, producing rainbows all over the island.

Now we know what's at the end of the rainbow.
