IKEA Canada is flooded with complaints about long delivery times
If you ordered from IKEA more than a month ago and still haven't gotten your Malm dresser delivered to your door, you're one of many customers feeling like they've been left high and dry.
People across Canada are reporting lengthy delays for receiving products from the Swedish furniture company, whose physical stores remain closed during the pandemic.

As such, IKEA is currently experiencing "very high delivery volumes", and as a result, delivery wait-times will be longer than usual — in some cases, more than a month.
Every time I try to call, then they hang up @IKEACanada @IKEACASupport and don’t tell me it’s “long wait times” pic.twitter.com/XiebyQzb21

Customers who've purchased items from the company are taking to social media to complain about overdue deliveries and radio silence from customer reps.
Don’t order anything on @IKEACanada if you are not willing to wait at least 3 weeks or more. They are taking soooo long for deliveries. #ikeacanada

The company has yet to offer curbside pick-up, meaning those orders had a heft delivery fee attached to them as well.
Thank you for writing to us. We are experiencing delays due to a high volume of contacts so we will respond to you as soon as we can.

We appreciate your patience.
Calls don't seem to be going through to IKEA's support centre, and the status updates of orders seem to stalled at 'confirmed' or 'prepared'.
I have yet to receive the desk & chair from @IKEACanada 😩 ordered it in March were now in may 🤬🤬

Now that folks are stuck at home, it seems an opportune time to update the house, however, IKEA might not be the route you want to take if you plan on redecorating before quarantine ends.
