Alberta medical officer Deena Hinshaw breaks the internet with her epic dress
Alberta Medical Officer Deena Hinshaw became an overnight fashion sensation after inspiring Canadians with her epic periodic table dress on Tuesday.
Sales of the grey, pleated sleeve dress have skyrocketed, according to Trish Tacoma, the owner of Smoking Lily in Victoria, B.C.
Tacoma says the Point Grey Periodic Table dress was sold for seven years before it was pulled from the store about six months ago. Now, her store is scrambling to ramp up production again as requests for the dress flood in.
The description of the dress on the website reads, "Yes, this is the dress you've been seeing Dr. Deena Hinshaw wearing on the news."
The website also warns that the $136 dress is for pre-sale only, given that Smoking Lily's shops and studio were forced to temporarily close down on Monday due to the spread of COVID-19.
As you might expect, Canadians everywhere are excited to finally have some lighter news to discuss this week.
