A massive snowball fight in Canada was postponed because of too much snow
UBC's annual snowball fight has been postponed due to too much snow, ironically.
The campus-wide snowball fight — which attracted thousands of students last year — was originally scheduled for 12:30 p.m. today but has been postponed until Thursday due to the unexpected snowfall. UBC has also cancelled all of their scheduled classes.
Given that Vancouver Skytrain attendants are using hockey sticks to de-ice train doors, it's no surprise that locals aren't handling the cold weather well. But UBC staff and students seem to think that this latest news is just a little too far.
Some students weren't impressed by the news.

While a Vancouver news reporter had a few questions for climate activists.
Today’s UBC campus-wide snowball fight has been postponed to tomorrow by... wait for it... snow. Wonder how the Extinction Rebellion club is taking the news. #bcstorm

According to Environment Canada, Vancouver's snowfall will start to slow by the end of the day. UBC students should be able to look forward to a snowball fight tomorrow.
