Dashcam videos have been making for some shocking and terrifying entertainment lately, while also (hopefully) serving as a lesson for what can happen if you don't completely follow the rules of the road.

A Vancouver Island resident caught yet another instance of some bonkers driving on video during his morning drive yesterday.

An SUV almost rear-ended a fellow vehicle, veered sideways into oncoming traffic, skidded completely out of control and spun around after speeding up and attempting to pass driver Chris Secord on the righthand side on a highway near Langford, B.C.

The ruthless driver narrowly missed serious collisions with multiple other cars — though she did hit a lane ends sign — and luckily no one was injured.

The ultimate reason for the speeding and ensuing chaos? The person behind the wheel was simply late for work, Secord told CTV News.
