Pillsbury just launched an edible cookie dough in Canada

Pillsbury just launched a new edible cookie dough across Canada, and it's completely safe to eat it raw. Yes; your childhood dreams are finally coming true.

The new cookie dough is made from heat-treated flour and pasteurized eggs, which means that it can be eaten straight from the tube.

Oh, and you can also bake it.

Because why not treat yourself to cookies two ways?

The edible cookie dough has already rolled out nationwide, so you should be able to find it in the refrigerated section of your local grocery store.

Pillsbury isn't the first company to launch an edible cookie dough in Canada; The Cookie Dough Cafe already sells an egg-less version in grocery stores, while Sweets From The Earth sells a healthy(ish) version of the treat.

Pillsbury says that the new edible recipe will taste the same as their original stuff, but only time will tell.

The company is so confident in its new product, however, that they're planning to transition all of their cookie dough to the edible version by the end of 2020.

Just make sure to double check that the Pillsbury label says "safe to eat raw" before chowing down on the cookie dough.
