Tim Hortons is taking over parking lots to build patios at over 1,000 locations in Canada
Tim Hortons is officially opening patio seating at more than 1,000 locations across Canada this summer, so you can look forward to sipping Iced Capps al fresco come July.
In a press release published Monday, COO Mike Hancock shared that the Canadian coffee chain will be expanding outdoor seating where appropriate.
"Tim Hortons is ready to welcome guests back to our patios and we are quickly expanding the number of patios we offer across Canada," Hancock said.
Tim Hortons will reopen more than 350 existing patios in Ontario in the coming weeks, and the company says they plan to "significantly expand" that number.
"Overall, we are planning to open upwards of 1,000 new patios across Canada by transforming existing outdoor spaces to allow our guests and their friends and families to sit and enjoy their Tim Hortons favourites outside our restaurants," Hancock said.
Tim Hortons will utilize existing outdoor areas, parking lots and blocked-off laneways to open 1,000 patios by early July.
The company says it will follow all public health requirements to ensure the outdoor dining spaces operate safely.
