Schitt's Creek makes history at the Emmy Awards and Canada is so proud

Sunday marked the 72nd annual Emmy Awards and the Canadian sitcom owned the night.
Not only did the cast and crew take home a total of nine awards, but they also became the first comedy show with the most wins in a single season and the first Canadian television program to win an Emmy in the Outstanding Comedy or Drama series category.

Besides this, the show took home all awards in all Emmy comedy categories, including Outstanding Lead Actress and Actor in a Comedy Series for Catherine O’Hara and Eugene Levy and Outstanding Supporting Actress and Actor in a Comedy Series for Annie Murphy and Daniel Levy.

Watching it feels like coming home.

Schitt's Creek ended it's six-season run on the CBC back in April after becoming Canada's most-watched homegrown comedy.
