Montreal will be singing Courage by The Tragically Hip from balconies tomorrow
We could all use a bit of "Courage" right now and people in Montreal are ready to help give each other some by singing the Tragically Hip song from their balconies on the evening of March 26.
In what has started to become a weekly balcony concert series, residents in self-isolation to help slow the spread of the COVID-19 virus are making good use of their iconic terraces.
Montreal comedian Joey Elias was the first to suggest the song and encouraged Montreal musicians to take part.
Italy has serenaded us. Spain crooned! Now it's time for #Canada to "Sing From the Rooftops"

This will mark the second balcony concert in the city after residents stepped out to sing Leonard Cohen's "So Long, Marianne" together.
The balcony concert begins at 6 p.m. on Thursday, March 26. In case you need them, here are the lyrics to the song:
Watch the band through a bunch of dancers
Quickly, follow the unknown with something more familiar
Quickly, something familiar
Courage, my word, it didn't come, it doesn't matter
Sleepwalk, so fast asleep in a motel
That has the lay of home and piss on all of your background
And piss on all your surroundings
Courage, my word, it didn't come, it doesn't matter
Courage, your word, it didn't come, it doesn't matter
Courage, my word, it didn't come, it doesn't matter
Courage, it couldn't come at a worse time
There's no simple explanation
For anything important any of us do
And yeah, the human tragedy
Consists in the necessity
Of living with the consequences
Under pressure, under pressure
Courage, my word, it didn't come, it doesn't matter,
Courage, your word, it didn't come, it doesn't matter
Courage, my word, it didn't come, it doesn't matter
Courage, it couldn't come at a worse time
It couldn't come at a worse time
It couldn't come at a worse time
Courage
