People think Canadian singer Grimes is pregnant with Elon Musk's baby
There has been a lot of speculation about Vancouver-area musician and visual artist Grimes after the eccentric, self-produced singer/songwriter posted what appear to be pregnancy photos on social media this week.
Both photos show Grimes with an obvious baby bump, and one even has an image of a fetus photoshopped onto her midriff (very Grimes-like).
The artist seemed to confirm the pregnancy in a comment on one of her posts, which states that "being knocked up is a very feral and war-like state of being."
The 31-year-old, whose real name is Clare Elise Boucher, is known for her unique, genre-defying electronic music and all-around weirdness, so many fans are wondering if the pictures are authentic or are just part of some weird promotion for her forthcoming album, Miss Anthropocene.
"For all we know, there is no album and Miss Anthropocene has been the baby's name this whole time," writes the Vancouver Sun.
Along with wondering if the pregnancy is real or a stunt, many are wondering, if the case is the former, who the father might be.
Grimes has been dating Tesla founder and fellow weirdo Elon Musk after the duo made their now-famous debut at the 2018 Met Gala in New York City.
The pair had initially bonded on Twitter over a super obscure play on both the 18th-century architectural style Rococo and Roko's Basilisk, a thought experiment wherein artificial intelligence destroys anyone who didn't help create it.
After their intense nerd-out and some direct messages, the rest was history.
Though neither party has confirmed or denied whether Musk is the father, he did reply to Grimes's tweet of her pregnancy photos with "x is y" — whatever that means.

Grimes's new album will be dropping February 21, and as for the baby —who may very well end up being the coolest/strangest humanoid in the galaxy — we'll have to wait and see.
